Categories are just a way to group your entries by topic. That way it's much easier for you to find related entries!

uhm weird.. I just created categories for my entry.. then when I go to my own profile, I could see "entry categories: surveys, wedding planning".. but then when I go to your profile, I see the exact same thing as in my entry categories (instead of your category: "general").. does that mean only the owner can see these categories????

Hmm... that's so strange! I went to your profile page and I saw my own category too. It's probably a bug, because in I can see your categories, but only when I click on the link in each entry.

And also ... if you're logged out you can't see the category links in the profile page at all.
